In her private office, Mrs. Lauder kept a collection of the rarest, best and most expensive fragrance oils, extracts and essences from every corner of the globe. Over several years, she created a parfum from these precious ingredients that was deeply personal and for herself alone. It was a vision come true of her belief that she, like every woman, deserved the best. One drop and you'll know why Estée Lauder kept it for herself.

Eventually, Mrs. Lauder did give a bottle of this precious parfum to one other woman in the world: Princess Grace of Monaco. Shortly thereafter, at a masked ball, Mrs. Lauder claimed she recognized Princess Grace immediately, simply from her fragrance.

Women who admired this mysterious scent on Mrs. Lauder, would simply be told that it was from her "private collection." Not to be denied, they began calling department stores to request Estée Lauder's "Private Collection." In 1973, Mrs. Lauder bowed to popular demand and introduced her signature parfum to the world. The legend of Private Collection was born.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
If you are not happy with your purchase, we will be happy to accept a return or exchange. Please follow the steps below.

STEP ONE

• Please fill out the Return Merchandise/ Exchange section on the back of the invoice (enclosed in your original order) and place it inside the return package.
• If you are making an exchange and the total cost of your exchange is more than the amount of your return, please include your payment information on the back of the invoice.
• If you are returning or exchanging a gift, please check the box marked "Gift Return" on the back of the invoice.

• Make a copy of the completed invoice for your records.

• Affix the return label provided with the product on the outside of the return package.

• For your protection and to ensure prompt delivery, we recommend that you send your return via UPS or insured Parcel Post.
• We're sorry, return shipping fees are not refundable. In the case of damaged items, please refer to Damaged Items.
• Returns and exchanges will be processed promptly and will be shipped via standard ground shipping. Processing and transit time for exchange packages is usually 7-10 business days from the time the exchange is received. Business days are from Monday to Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States. An email will be sent to confirm receipt and processing of your return or exchange request.

OTHER WAYS TO ENJOY FRAGRANCE

• Spray a damp cloth with fragrance and throw into the dryer with your clothes to scent them beautifully.
• Mix a bit of fragrance into your cream rinse.
