Day vs. night is well-known territory in the world of beauty regimens. We all have our morning rituals, which may consist of a skincare routine, plus a little makeup (or a lot, depending on how much of a morning person you are). Then we have our nighttime routines, where we wash away the day and prep our skin for bed. But have you ever thought about applying the idea of day vs. night to your fragrance? Certain scents—and even raw ingredients—can smell distinctly different in the morning than they do at night, and Aerin Lauder harnessed this quality in her latest fragrance launch.

I like the idea of a bag being very practical and serving a purpose, but also being a beautiful object within itself.

Long held as a symbol of love and friendship, Tuberose is a prized flower known for revealing different scent impressions at opposite ends of the day. Inspired by this, Aerin brought the concept to life through two luxurious parfums: Tuberose Le Jour, “inspired by the magical fields of Tuberose flowers grown in India,” Aerin explains, and Tuberose Le Soir, “inspired by and capturing the scent’s elegant power.”

In connection with the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, Aerin is also exploring the concept of day vs. night as it relates to jewelry. “A great way to transform from day to night is with a piece of jewelry,” she explains. She selected two pieces from her personal collection to donate to the Sotheby’s Fine Jewels Auction, the proceeds of which will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. Watch the video above to learn more about Aerin’s new fragrance, her jewelry and her connection to the cause.
